Dr. Ari Rahman’s first obsession was horses – which was very inconvenient growing up in California. Her love for horses quickly morphed into a love for all animals and soon enough she realized that veterinary medicine was where she belonged. After graduating from California State University, Chico with her degree in Animal Science, Dr. Ari made her way east to obtain her veterinary degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. During her veterinary education, she did outreach work surrounding mental health advocacy in the veterinary community and received awards in communication and teamwork.
Dr. Ari is passionate about veterinary end-of-life care, geriatrics, ophthalmology, dermatology, routine surgery, and client education. She received training with the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy and cares deeply about honoring the human-animal bond during the process of euthanasia and in end-of-life decisions. She is grateful to serve the Cornelius community here with CVC.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ari enjoys spending time with her pets, painting, going to concerts, baking, mentoring veterinary students, and learning Spanish.
